PANTANAL IN-DEPTH

The Pantanal is the world’s largest contiguous wetland area (actually an alluvial plain) located in the center of South America. It’s a perfect ecological niche for a great number of birds, reptiles and other animals to the delight of wildlife watchers and photographers.
This Program offers you the very best combination of different ecoregions of the Grand Pantanal, combining top Lodges and a rich itinerary for the most demanding nature lovers.

Pantanal of BARÃO DE MELGAÇO: South-East of Cuiabá, at the feats of the Guimarães Tablelands, receives the waters of the Mutum river that flows into the great north Pantanal Bays of Xacororé and Sia Mariana, flowing further into the Cuiabá river, main affluent of the Paraguay river. Ideal to explore the water ways.

Pantanal of POCONÉ: South of Cuiabá, this is a drier area, with internal rivers and marshes, crossed by the Transpantaneira Park Road, ideal to explore fields, marshes and forests.
